WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a science within the traditional Chinese medicine that has been practiced for more than 4000 years. Very small needles are inserted into acupuncture points on the body, which activates various meridians, the pathways through which life energy circulates in the body, positively influencing life energy. This results in:

* improved energy quality.
* increased energy quantity or flow.
* removal of energy blockages.
* improved energy circulation.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has certified and listed diseases that can be treated with acupuncture. Many studies show that some conditions, such as acid reflux (heartburn), headaches, and migraines, can be effectively treated with acupuncture, sometimes yielding better results than medications. One advantage of acupuncture is that there are no risks of medication side effects. Acupuncture is safe. The most common groups of diseases and symptoms treated include:

Contraindications for acupuncture:

Patients with vascular disease with abnormalities in the blood coagulation system.

Patients with diseases requiring surgical treatment.

Patients with diseases for which the exact diagnosis is not yet known.

Heart disease patients with a pacemaker.
The needles:

They are made of stainless steel, small, and very thin. The needle tip is not cut, not hollow, has no holes, is sterilized, and packaged from the factory. The needles are used only once and then discarded, never to be used again. They are safe from infection with hepatitis and AIDS.

To enhance the effect of the treatment, cupping therapy can be used during the treatment.

CUPPING

Cupping is another treatment method used in traditional Chinese medicine. In ancient times, animal horns or bamboo tubes were used. However, nowadays, clear glass cups are used, in which a vacuum is created, and they are then placed over various parts of the body.
From a scientific perspective, cupping involves creating a vacuum over the skin. The suction with a vacuum glass causes an increased blood flow to that area. Pumping blood inward causes capillaries in the muscles in the covered area to expand. This results in tissues receiving more oxygen-rich blood, making the repair process more efficient. Another commonly used cupping method is moving cupping, where the cups are slowly moved along the meridians or across the muscles in different areas to stretch the muscles and superficial connective tissue, which can reduce pain.

Cupping for beauty enhancement ensures that the skin looks radiant and rosy after cupping. The skin area may show dark circles, but there is no danger. The mark heals on its own in about 5-7 days and can be repeated if the mark fades.

GUASHA SCRAPING

Guasha is the sweeping or scraping of the skin. According to traditional Chinese medicine, this helps to remove toxins from the body through the skin and increase oxygen supply to various tissues. It relieves pain, tension, headaches, and RSI complaints. It also aids in improving beauty, reducing wrinkles, and slowing down the aging process.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the treatment of diseases by burning mugwort herbs and then applying them to acupuncture needles or acupuncture points.

Moxibustion can balance the body's energy. The heat from moxibustion stimulates the flow of energy through the meridians. It is often used for disease prevention.
